Obligations to IAP Service Providers //

When operating vehicles in the IAP, an owner-driver has two main obligations to their chosen IAP Service Provider:

1. Notifying the IAP Service Provider immediately of any malfunctions with the in-vehicle unit or self declaration input device

2. Ensuring that information provided to the IAP Service Provider is not false or misleading

These and other obligations are explained in more detail in the Transport Operator and Driver Guideline – Getting started in the IAP.

Owner-drivers should become familiar with all their obligations to their IAP Service Provider, as failure to adhere may result in penalties being imposed.

In addition, owner-drivers must enter into an IAP Service Provider/ Transport Operator Agreement with their chosen IAP Service Provider. This document sets out the obligations of each party.
